Combining interfaces and tools

"I am interested in the development of applications to present and test our tools and methods."

Pushing the frontier of knowledge is a hard business, especially when the knowledge, your research is based on, is diffuse and unorganized. The effort our team puts into version control, exchangeability of simulation data and providing a system to search in model repositories enables the community to order this chaos. Unfortunately it is hard to design systems for a huge amount of data without having one. Further it is rarely possible to use a basic software, resulting out of research, immediately and without a proper User Interface.

Aware of this facts, it is pleasant to develop applications helping other team members developing the main systems. Particularly at begin of my academic career, contributing a small part to large projects is an exciting alternation besides studying.
