Workshop on Computational Models in Biology and Medicine

Workshop Outline:

This GMDS/IBS-DR workshop intends to bring together researchers from different research areas such as bioinformatics, biostatistics, and systems biology, who are interested in modelling and analysis of biological systems or in the development of statistical methods with applications in biology and medicine.

Workshop Venue:

The workshop will be held at the Konrad-Zuse-Haus in Rostock (Albert-Einstein-Straße 22, 18059 Rostock).

Please enter via the main entrance (revolving door) of the Konrad-Zuse-Haus. There, you will find directions to the registration desk in the atrium (straight ahead).

Arriving by public transport:

• From the main station (Rostock Hauptbahnhof Süd) you can take the bus line 39 (direction "S Lütten Klein") to the stop "Beim Pulverturm", from where you can see the Konrad-Zuse-Haus.
• Alternatively, from the main station (inside Rostock Hauptbahnhof), you can take the tram number 6 (direction "S Lütten Klein") to the stop "Campus Südstadt", from where you can walk (6 min) to the Konrad-Zuse-Haus.

Arriving by car: The parking lot near the Konrad-Zuse-Haus (marked in the Google Maps screenshot) will be open for you.

The workshop is jointly organized by the GMDS/IBS working groups "Statistical Methods in Bioinformatics" (Tim Kacprowski, Technische Universität Braunschweig; Michael Seifert, Technische Universität Dresden) and "Mathematical Models in Medicine and Biology" (Nicole Radde, Universität Stuttgart; Ingmar Glauche, Technische Universität Dresden), as well as Alexandra Baumann (Universität Rostock) as a local organizer (contact).
