BioCon Valley Life Sciences Conference

Following the BioConValley conference a group met on Saturday, 12th September to discuss mathematical modeling of pathways. The event was enjoyable and exhausting at the same time but most of all good fun. Many thanks to Allan Muir, Lorenz Wernisch, Sree Sreenath, Gunnar Cedersund and Amit Sinha for the company. The meeting introduced to new terms to Systems Biology: "bush on" and the "Lorenz map". Heated discussion made it occassionally necessary to push on regardless of other opinions - this was described as "to bush on", while the Lorenz map is a mapping that you don't want to accept as being a mapping...
