Welcome to the web-pages of our research group. We are interested in the development of systems- and control methodologies, using mathematical modelling, simulation and statistical data analysis applied to complex dynamic systems. Although the methodologies are generic, we are particularly interested in applications to molecular- and cell biology (i.e., systems biology and bioinformatics).

Wir sind auf die Analyse komplexer Daten und Prozesse spezialisiert. Ein Schwerpunkt unserer Arbeit ist die Untersuchung organischer Systeme. Unser systemtheoretischer Ansatz ist jedoch auf viele Prozesse, wie z.B. in der Wirtschaft, Geschäfts- und Produktionsabläufe anwendbar. Unsere Erfahrungen liegen dabei auf der Analyse von Daten, der Modellbildung und Simulation mit dem Ziel einer verbesserten Entscheidungsfindung und Planung. Unsere Analyse komplexer dynamische Zusammenhänge führt zu einer Optimierung und Vereinfachung steuerbarer Prozesse in dem wir kritische Systemvariablen und Zustände mathematisch ermitteln und durch computergestütze Simulation verschiedene Szenarien "durchspielen". Unsere Expertise in der Untersuchung multivariater Daten und dynamischer Prozesse steht Ihnen in Beratungsgesprächen und Projekten zur Verfügung - nutzen Sie unsere analytischen Fähigkeiten. Interested in visiting our Research Group?

We offer a small reimbursement which would usually cover costs for accommodation but not travel etc. The minimum duration should be two months and the contract requires that the applicant has already a degree. Although it does not matter what subject the degree was in, it should carry a very good or excellent mark. A CV, together with an indication of marks, should be send to Prof. Olaf Wolkenhauer (ow at informatik dot uni-rostock dot de). The application should indicate your area of interest, the period during which you want to come and give a clear statement that other costs (travel, subsistence etc.) will be covered by the applicant.
